*News*:
A man who worked security for rapper Busta Rhymes was shot multiple times and found dead in the back of his pickup truck on Wednesday (May 28th), AllHipHop.com has learned. Jermaine Williams, 35, of the Bronx, was found dead from multiple gunshot wounds in Ozone Park, Queens. Police found blood dripping from the backseat of his SUV when they discovered Williams' body, which was wrapped in a blanket in the backseat of the SUV. Sources have confirmed with AllHipHop.com that Williams, also known as “Black,” was Rhymes' bodyguard, although it is unclear if he was working for the rapper as of press time. Busta Rhymes has been on a tour of Europe and was not in the country at the time of the incident sources told AllHipHop.com. Williams, who leaves behind two children, reportedly went to Queens to visit his grandmother and ended up missing for almost 24 hours. Police are still seeking the suspects who committed the murder. Williams is the second bodyguard employed by Busta Rhymes to be shot dead. His former bodyguard Israel Ramirez was shot dead on February 5, 2006, outside of a warehouse, where a music video for the remix to Rhymes’ single “Touch It” was being shot. Ramirez, 29, was shot in the chest in front of the building, where as many as 500 people may have witnessed the shooting. To date, a shooter has never been identified and Rhymes has denied any knowledge of Ramirez’ shooting.

DJ Envy Interviews LL Cool J

Green Lantern Interviews Nas (Part 2)

*News*: A week after announcing he will rename his controversial Nigger album, word has spread that Nas is scheduled to team up with DJ Green Lantern to drop a mixtape titled The Nigger Tape. The tape will feature remixes, outtakes, exclusive tracks, and also an unreleased verse from Nas' recently released "Be A Nigger Too." A new version of "The Last Real Nigga Alive," originally a track on God's Son, is also expected to to be on The Nigger Tape.

Young Chris Feat. Lil Wayne - Paradise

*News*: I dunno if it was the drugs talking or someone is feeling himself way too much but recently, during an interview with mixtape magazine Foundation, Lil Wayne starts going off on a "Fuck Mixtape DJ's" tangent. Wayne flew the interviewers out to Atlanta, and 5 minutes into the interview after he was asked about a certain mixtape DJ who leaked some Carter 3 material, he went off. This guy would have ABSOLUTELY NO BUZZ without the mixtape game, and now he wants to say "Fuck Mixtape DJ's, if you a mixtape DJ fuck you." Well then how about this Dwayne..

..FUCK YOU TOO.

Xzibit - I'm On My Way

*News*: In a post on his MySpace page today (May 26), Los Angeles bred rapper Xzibit revealed that his new born son has passed away.

According to Xzibit, his newborn son, Xavier Kingston Joiner, was born prematurely on May 15th and had been having trouble breathing because his lungs weren’t strong enough to handle regular oxygen.

Xavier would pass away early Monday morning at 3:30am.

“It is unnatural for a parent to bury a child,” Xzibit said in a blog entry on his MySpace page. “I am telling you this because of the same reason I tell you when I’m having great times, life is too short to be fake. Hold on to your kids if you have them, protect them and show them you love them everyday you wake up and see them, don’t take a second you get to hug them teach them and care for them for granted.”

“You can have all the material wealth in the universe but it is NOTHING compared to having your family,” he added.” I am thankful for all of my blessings and im not one to question God’s perfect plan, so I leave you with great love and thanks for the love that was sent earlier on my pervious blog to my son. Of course I need to take some time and handle my loss, STAY FOCUSED PEOPLE. Its not promised to any of us.”

Artist Spotlight Volume 3: WALE!

In an era when critics and rappers themselves jump to declare the death of hip hop, 23 year-old Wale Folarin has been breathing new life into the genre through dazzling wordplay, a fresh sound steeped in DC's legendary go-go scene, and boundless on-stage energy. 2006 saw Wale conquer DC, Maryland and Virginia with a slew of original radio hits and electrifying shows that solidified his buzz in the Mid-Atlantic. 2007 was even brighter, with Wale garnering press in The Fader, The New York Times, The Boston Globe, Entertainment Weekly, The Washington Post, The Source, Vibe, Complex, HipHopGame.com, AllHipHop.com, a news piece on MTV and even the cover of URB, all without a major label deal. With heavy radio rotation in DC, Maryland and Virginia, along with mixshow spins on both costs, Wale has sold out shows in LA, New York, San Francisco, Philly and Atlanta. Wale took the European music festival circuit by storm, touring with world-famous DJ and superproducer Mark Ronson (Amy Winehouse, Lily Allen) in 2007. The response was so great, Wale ended up signing a production deal with Ronson's Allido Records. With well over 2 million plays on MySpace, Wale is an organic hip hop and lifestyle phenomenon, and the release of his third and most widely-distributed mixtape, 100 MILES AND RUNNING (30,000+ downloads since July), has taken his global buzz to new heights. Top streetwear label 10Deep has come on as a sponsor of 100 MILES mixtape as well as future apparel collaborations. Starr African Rum, The Hundreds, LRG, Stussy, Jordan Brand and Nike have all co-signed Wale, and he was recently tapped to participate in a free Nike Boot concert along with Lil Wayne in DC sponsored by Nike and Footaction. Wale was also contributed to the album commemorating the 40th anniversary of BBC's Radio 1. Every once in a while an artist comes along and completely changes the game. Wale's got next.
